EP 33: CANvitational and Garden Party Botanical Hard Soda

September 11, 2017

This week on the Edge of Indy we’re talking about the 5th annual Sun King CANvitational plus we’re joined by one of the co-founders of Garden Party Botanical Hard Soda – another alcohol related show!

The 5th Annual Sun King CANvitational took place in downtown Indianapolis this past weekend, but we were able to talk to Dave Colt, the head brewer and co-founder of Sun King Brewery, before the event last week.

CANvitational is the Midwest’s largest canned craft beer festival and it takes place right on Georgia Street and it brings together over 65 breweries from across America to downtown Indianapolis.

At the event, you can sample beer from all 65+ breweries and eat local food from food trucks with live music.

Well, on this week’s Paul on the Edge, Paul Poteet found an article that helps you buy the perfect soap for that special someone…plus a mom-to-be took pregnancy photos with 20,000 little buzzing friends and thousands of dollars worth of legos were stolen from a house in Michigan. If you haven’t heard of Garden Party Botanical Hard Soda before this show, then where have you been? Garden Party was started by husband and wife team Stephen and Erin Edds and launched earlier this year.

Erin is a food and beverage entrepreneur and developed the hard soda over the course of one year and brought to market two flavors, Ruby and Violet.

Both the Violet and the Ruby are all-natural premium hard sodas with 8% alcohol and can be found in liquor stores across Indiana – with a goal of expanding their distribution across the globe.
